Fellowship in Ancient Iranian Studies

The Foundation for the Establishment of Prince Alireza Pahlavi

Prince Alireza Pahlavi
Founded by Her Imperial Majesty Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi, the Foundation is a memorial to her beloved son Alireza Pahlavi, a man who experienced the best and worst of Iran and whose life was animated by an enduring love for the land of his fathers. For Prince Alireza, Iran’s deep and rich history formed an infinite and compelling source of scholarship. In the languages, music, and culture of his native country, he found his true passion and calling, not only in his studies but in the fabric of his everyday life. In keeping with this ongoing spirit, the Foundation will offer future generations of young Iranians the opportunity to attend Harvard University and – with commitment and pride – transform the ancient history of their country into a vibrant and living testament for the modern world. All money raised by the Foundation – except nominal and essential expenses, such as external auditing costs – will be donated to Harvard University. The Foundation was established to meet Harvard’s specific standards for scholarship funding. We are committed to the goal of raising $1 million, the required amount for the establishment of an endowed scholarship. The Foundation is organized and incorporated according to Internal Revenue Service code 501(c)(3) and is a registered charity.
