With world famed conductor Zubin Mehta
Queen Sofía celebrated her 70th birthday on November
2, 2008.
She celebrated the day attending a concert by one of her favourite conductors,
Zubin Mehta, held in the Albéniz Foundation in Madrid.
The entire Royal Family joined her for the concert in the Plaza de Oriente in
Madrid, at the new concert hall which was opened by the event.
Some 200 in the audience cheered ‘Viva la Reina’ after the
orchestra played happy birthday in eight different musical styles.
