Empress Farah Pahlavi at the wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece with Ms.Tatiana Blatnik

Prince Nikolaos wedding to Tatiana Blatnik was held in a monastery near the old port of Stepses Island. Ms. Blatnik, arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and waved to a crowd of well wishers gathered outside. The 40-year-old Prince Nikolaos arrived by boat. The Greek Orthodox service was attended by Spanish Queen Sofia — King Constantine's sister — Crown Prince Felipe and his wife, Letizia. Members of royal families from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands also were present. In the two pictures above, Empress Farah Pahlavi arrives at Agios Nikolaos church to attend the wedding ceremony.
The trip to Greece was an opportunity for the Empress to remind some members of the press about the predicament of the Iranian refugees who were on hunger strike in Athens.
